Now I explain you my favourite weekend , I go at the mountain with my family. On Saturday night we go to a cottage at the mountain to saty till Sunday. When we get up early in the morning we go to skiing all the day. When it's time to go home after a long day of Skiing, we rest with our family. I enjoy weekends.

My favourite celebration is Sant Joan. Sant Joan is a Catalonian celebration at the summer solstice. (Saint John)

Before Sant Joan day, we buy firecrackers, chiken, salad, bread, tomatoes, potatoes... and fizzy drinks.

On Sant Joan day, we prepare the food in the morning, and the family and friends come to our house.

At night we throw firecrackers and there are let of bonfires. For ,me it's the best night of all.

My name is Nerea and I'm from Juneda.One of my favourite celebrations is Christmas. Chrismas is in December.
Before Chrismas day, we make lunch for the next day. soup (de galets) and meat or caneloni.
On Chrismas day we go and see under the Chrismas tree if there are presents. The family comes to our house. There are usually a lot of people. We have lunch together.
For the main course, we eat soup and meat. For dessert we eat "torró and polvorons" ( tipical Chrismas sweets). It's delicious!!!

My favourite celebration is "San Joan" ( saint John). "San Joan" in Catalonia we celebrate it at the end of June.

On that day, we throw firecackers.

Then my family and my friends go to a big park "Terrall". There are a lot of people. They are very friendly.

I love throwing firecrakers, especially "xinitos" and palms "palmeras".
I love "San Joan".

  My name's Núria, and I'm from Lleida, catalonia, Spain. My favourite celebration is Christmas. Christmas is    celebrated in all the world. Christmas is in winter, on the 25th of December.

  Before christmas my family and I go to buy food for the day of christmas. I go by car to the house of one of my    best friends Claudia. Claudia's home is enormous, she has a party with all her friends.

  On Christmas day, we cook in the morning, we cook chicken, we make bread and more food. There are usually    a lot of people.

  In the morning I go to the Christmas tree and I open the presents. I usually get money, for one of my brothers is Lego or  Playmobiñ and for my younger brother a lot of toys.

My name is Adrià, and I'm from Cervià, Lleida, Spain. I am 13 years old. My favorite celebration is my birthday, in December.
Before my birthday, me and my family spend the day at Portaventura. On my birthday, me and my family have lunch together, we always eat chicken and then a chocolate cake. Chocolate cake, is my favorite food in the world. Then I open the pesents, and in the afternoon we buy things. Because it is four days after Christmas we buy presents for everyone. At night my mother makes a party. We always have dinner at a bar in my town. We often, eat pizza, Coca Cola, chips and other things. And then we go party with my friends in Lleida City. Each year, four days before, Christmas, we make a special party, there are some DJ'S that i know a lot. This is what I like to do, go to parties with my friends. It is my favorite day. I like everything that I do. I like it.

My name is Gemma, and I'm from Catalonia, Juneda, Spain.

My favourite celebration is "la festa Major". La festa Major is a Spanish celebration one week a year.

Before la festa Major, there are attractions and wany shops. During la festa Major you eat special things like caneloni, rabbit... things that do not eat every day.

Each day of la festa Major we cook in the morning. The family gathers at the table  to eat. There are usually a lot of people. The food is very good and the people have great fun.

Hi! I live in Juneda, this town is very beautiful, it is a little town but in Juneda there are a lot of  people.
In Juneda live 3465 people, there is a big chuch, an a football stadium, an a swimming pool, an a sports centre, an a paddle fields, and a train station.
In Juneda we have 3 swimming pools, a small one, a medium one, and a big one. There is a volley field, a snack bar, and a minigolf.
I like Juneda becauseit  is a wonderfull place to live and it is 18 km from Lleida and 210 km from Barcelona.
If you want to visit The Pirineus  it is 245 km from here.

My favorite celebration is Sant Joan (saint John). I like Sant Joan because I am on  holidays, I can play with fireworks and I can go to the swimming pool. When  I am on holidays I don't have to go to school, I go with my family to the bungalow we rent by the beach and my cousin Ivan Lahuerta comes with us.
I like to play with fireworks because I like the smell, the colors but I don't like the noise.
When I go to the swimming pool I like to splash in the water, to dive in the water and with my friends we play volley in the water. I like Sant Joan very much for the fires and to jump on it.
One of my best friends name is Joan and we celebrate it in his house, and  I like it a lot.

On Mondays, I do Origami, I like it a lot because it is relaxing.
On Tuesdays, I play football at home. I play in the garden, I have a ball .
On Wednesdays, I wach videos in Youtube. I like the Minecraft videos.

On Fridays, I play with play station 3 because I like FIFA 14.
On Saturdays, I go for a walk to El Canal d'Urgell for two and a half hours.
On Sundays,  I go with my family to eat dinner at Big Ben restaurant.

My name is Aixa, I am 13 years old. I'm from Catalonia, Lleida, Arbeca. My favourite celebration is Christmas, it is in December.
Before Chrismas Day, we prepere everything, but sometimes we go to our grandparents house.
When we go to our granparents' house, I go there one hour before the lunch, to help to prepare everything and lay the table.
And if we stay at home, the day before, we do it..
On Chrismas day, I go  to have lunch with mum and my brother. Before lunch, when guests arrive, they give us the presents, then we eat, and we play in a XBOX 360 with my cosins, and my brother, and at night, they leave.

I live in Juneda I like it very much, it's a town in the Garrigues, it is a safe and clean.
There are more than 3.000 inhabitants.
The people is very friendly and generous. There isa school ,one library and a one school music. There are three parks, where the children play everyday. There are supermarkets, but not many, we also have a long channel and three swimming-pools.

Well the truth is that I don't have a favourite celebration.... But I will tell you  about Sant Joan.



This celebration that takes place all over Catalonia on the night between 23 and 24 June, one of the shortest of the year due to the proximity of the summer solstice. 


It is not clear the origin of this celebration. Some people talk about a pagan origin Christianity. A kind of  celebration  of the summer solstice. We make bonfires, children throe fireworks and we eat some cakes. I enjoy it a lot.

Hi! My favourite day is Friday.

I get up at 6:45 I dress up, I comb my hair, I have breakfast, I brush my teeth, I make my bed and I go to take the bus and I go to the High School. The classes start at 8:00 o'clock and finish at two . When the classes finish I go home, and I have lunch at two thirty, then Iplay with my friends, at the 9 o'clock I go home and I have dinner, when I finish the dinner I chat on the internet or I watch TV and about 11:00or 11:30 I go to sleep.

My favourite celebration by Júlia to Linsday

Hi,Lindsay. My favourite celebration is the day of the "cassoles de tros" (typical meal). It is a traditional celebration in Juneda, it is celebrated since 1979, every  June. So, this year is the 35th edition of this typical party of the “junedencs”.

It is a celebration but it is also a contest, and there is a jury that the decides what “cassola de tros” is the best.

A “cassola de tros” is a typical dish of the peasants. It is elaborated with:

- spinach

- potatoes

- onions

- red and green peppers

- aubergine

- pork meat ( sausages, ribs…)

On the “cassola the tros” day, in the morning we go to the canal, and light the fire and prepare the food. We start to cook the dish, and we spend all morning cooking, talking and laughing. When the “cassola” is done, we take it, and we go to the countryside to eat this good “cassola”. After eating we play the whole afternoon with my friends. Finally everybody goes.

I have chosen this day because I like cooking and being with my friends . This year will be the first “cassola de tros” that I will celebrate only with my group of friends (not my family) and I am very happy for it .

I am Helena and I am 12 years old, I'm a student at IES Josep Vallverdú in Les Borges Blanques, I have a younger brother named Hector and an older sister, Lorena, My brother is 9 years and my sister 28 . My mum is Carmen and my dad is Salva.

I have a dog named NYA , it is 2 years old and it is very nervous and affectionate,  but it does not like to get caught.

I love drawing, singing, playing games and dancing, I'm pretty distracted and shy, but I'm very happy.

I do not like to be disturbed and i don´t like vegetables..

Hi Maddie,

My favourite celebration is Sant Jordi (Saint George). Sant Jordi is the saint of Catalonia, and it's celebrated only in Catalonia. It is on the 23rd of April. 

On this day the boys give the girls a rose, and the girls give boys a book, is also the day of lovers.

Sometimes is from Monday to Friday it isn't celebrated on the same day, it's always celebrate at the weekend, and on Sunday there is a competition of writing stories. It isn't important the day of the celebation in the village, the book and the rose are always given on the 23rd because the day of Sant Jordi isn't bank holiday.

I love this day because I like roses a lot!, and although I'm a girl if you want you can buy a book too! I love read!

Now I'll explain one of my weekends at the beach. On Saturday I got up at eleven o'clock. After lunch and I'm going to prepare my suitcase not forget my bathing suit and towel. At twelve o'clock we go home we have an hour away because we go to the Pineda (where we have an apartment) per that when we got rid suitcase and then eat in the afternoon we we go to the beach but before if we are tired we a nap there at five o'clock we go to the beach and back at 8:30 finally bought some pizzas for dinner, it would be Sunday morning we would we all day at PortAventura.

How's it going? I hope well : )

Now I will tell you my routine of one day, for exemple  Mondays:

Every day I get up at 5.30 or 6.00 a.m, . When I'm awake I put on my clothes. Normally I wear trousers with short-sleeved shirts and a spring jacket.When I finish I take my bag and I go to the kitchen. For breakfast I prepare a coffee with some cakes or snacks. After this I g to the dining room to watch TV. When it is 7 a.m. I comb my hair, I wash my face, I wash my teeth and I put on some perfume, sometimes if I have really bad hair my mother helps me. At 7.20 I go out of home and I go to the bus. At 8 a.m. I start classes until 10.55  till 11.25 when I have a break, I'm with my friends, after the break I return to classes until two o'clock. Tne to the bus and I  go home, we arrive at three so I just eat at three thirty. After eating I do homework, by 5: 00 p.m I meet my brother at school. We go home and have a snack I and my two young brothers. Throughout the afternoon we go out to the street and play together. At 8.00 pm comes my father from work and while my mother is preparing dinner I and my brothers take photos with my laptop . While Izan and Leo have dinner I have a shower. At 21.00 or 21.10 I have dinner and when I say goodnight to my parents and I prepare my bag for the next day andi washmy teeth. Aproximatelly at 23.00 I talk with my friends on the laptop. When it is time I go to sleep .

Not only on Mondays but on  Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Fridays are much more different not only for classes.

On Mondays and Wednesdays, I go to english lessons.
When Ifinish it all, I watch TV, I have a shower,

I talk about my Fridays because Friday is my favourite day at the week.

I go to my room and I dress up and I go to the bathroom and I comb my hair, then I prepare my school bag.  At half past seven I go to the bus station, because I'm from Arbeca and my higth school is in Les Borges Blanques. I do three hours of class and I go to the playgraund, then I do three hous more of class and then at ten past two I take again the bus, and I go to Arbeca now. Then I have luch, watch tv, then I play with my cats, and at 6 o'clok I start english lessons. One hour late I finish and I go home, I watch videos on youtube or roller skate, and I have dinner and because the next I don't go to school I watch tv and I go to bed late.

Hi! Rachel ,my favourite day of the week is Wednesday .I get up at 7 o'clock, then I have breakfast and later I clean my teeth, brush my hair and I wash my face. I dress up and I go to the bus station. The school starts at  8 o'clock and finish at 14:10.When arrive home I have lunch at 15:00 o'clock  with my uncle and my grandad then I watch TV. When my mum arrives at 16:30 I start to do my homework .At 17:30I go to an english school and I finish at 18:30 , when I finish the homework I have dinner and at 22:30 I go to bed.

Hello Krissy!!!

       

In the morning at half past six I get up and I have breakfast. For breakfast, I eat cereals with  miñk.Then, I go to the bus station and I take the bus from Juneda to Borges.

When I arrive at high school I study science, maths and tecnology. Then I go to the playground. After this, I learn science again, music and physical education.

At quarter past two, I take the bus again from Borges to Juneda and I have lunch. For lunch, I eat vegetables meat and fruit. After lunch, I watch TV.

In the afternoon I do my homework and I study. I also go to music and guitar lessons.

In the evering I go to English lessons.

At night I have dinner. For dinner, I eat fish, salad and drinc milk. At half past nine, I go to sleep. And this is what I do every Thursday.

Hi Grace!!  My favourite day is Tuesday.
I get up at 6:45 I dress up, I comb my hair, I have breakfast, I brush my teeth, I make my bed and I go to take the bus and I go to the High School. The classes start at 8:00 o'clock and finish at two . When the classes finish I go home, and I have lunch at two thirty, then I go to put on my clothes for riding a horse and at three thirty I go to ride a horse, I start ridinig a horse at 4 o'clock and I finish about 18:00  o'clock. I go home and I have a snack. And at about 19:00 I have a shower, I play the violin, I do my homework and I study. At 8:00 or 9:00 I have dinner and when I finish I chat on the internet or I play with my mobile phone. After that  I watch TV and about 10:00 or 10:30 I go to sleep.

I live in les Borges Blanques, a small city, but it is a beautiful town. it has got 6013 inhabitants. There are a lot of parks and I live near  one of the parks.

Yo vivo en Mclean. Durante los meses octubre, hasta febrero hace frío. También durante los meses junio, hasta agosto hace calor. Mclean es grande y es un buen pueblo. Población de Mclean es 48,115. Me gusta  ir de compras con mi hermana y mi mama. Yo prefiero ir al parque porque me jugar fútbol. Me gusta nadar con mi amigos. También nos gusta montar a caballo.
